tell the universal truth and expose their guesses for what they are...taking away all their power and authority over others by doing so.

Make the students teachers..and the teachers students..

That is my wish.

whats it like to lose your children to hypocrites, liars, and guessers.... what drives them to lean upon guesses about their parents from others who exault themselves and present thier mere guesses as facts to them?.

why do they not search for the truth and answers from the source?.

Why do they not search for the truth and answers from the source?

Too much work? Too scared? Or or the hypocrites overly tying them down attending to their needs and desires in exchange for their guesses?

Or have they presented a guess that the source is a bloodthirsty bully that will destroy them if they search for answers beyond their authority and guesses?

Or just don't care?

This entire world has me puzzled to no end.

Do you think that Jehovah and Jesus should take some of the blame?

i truly love jehovah and jesus and no matter what i will always serve them, but sometimes i feel that jehovah and jesus are the blame for satan the devil getting totally out of control.

i just don't understand(and maybe never will) why jehovah and jesus have allowed satan and the demons to cause nothing but heartache for thousands and thousands of years.

people always talk about free will and that jehovah has a bigger plan ahead but why should people have to suffer misery in order to possibly gain happiness?

We don't even know for certain they are not the same being. Nobody really knows the plan..but you cannot call foul until the game is over..if you do...you can get egg on your face if you condemn a brilliant move or sacrifice that ends up winning the game.

was speaking to a jw friend the other day (he knows i have 'doubts').

he asked me what i thought of the 2007 year's text.

i said it would be nice if jehovah did intervene soon, but that i felt that the society is wrong to be constantly telling everyone how 'near' the end of the system is, that they have been doing this for over 120 years, and that we should just focus on being good christians without always thinking the end is close all the time.

as usual 'near', 'soon', 'approaching'.....blah blah etc...... watchtower dec 15th 2006.

Is convincing and controlling someone the same thing?

been mulling this over that past couple of days and need some different views on it.. .

convincing seems to imply rightly that a person still has to accept it and choose to listen..controlling seems to imply taking away the persons choice or discourage them from choosing what they want to do.. .

can we be controlled by convincing?.

But would we be happy if we were unable to have privicy and our secrets? What is the downside to people being able to keep secrets in the long term?

Do you feel that "Christians and JW's" try to impose "guilt" on members

i know this might sound like a very unusual questions but i was recently talking to a ex-jw's girl at my school and she made a very good point that i had never thought of.

she said that christians and jw's try to impose "guilt and fear" in their members by constantly comparing what the apostles and early christians suffered such as "beheadings, nail to crosses, burned alive, thrown to lions" and all sorts of horrible things.

she said they never just encourage you to serve god and jesus without their being a hidden doom and gloom message.

Must be nice to have others striving to live up to your standards and accept your defintions of their behavior without question as God's.

That's all i can say.

Convincing seems to imply rightly that a person still has to accept it and choose to listen..Controlling seems to imply taking away the persons choice or discourage them from choosing what they want to do.

Also "convincing" can also be misleading in the end result if the person supplying the convincing information intentions wants to accomplish that. Misleading convincing information is viewed as a "victory" of sorts if the person succeeds in doing that.

It really sucks sometimes we have the abilty to keep secrets from others like God. IMO
